Year 7’s Introduction
- Bring the Year 7 P.E. and PHSE curriculum to life with our Year 7’s Introduction workshop, using age-appropriate activities, visual aids and video content.
- Great fun, educational and active session, aimed to build self-esteem and confidence.
- Highlight the importance of daily exercise and the risks associated with leading an inactive lifestyle.
- Discuss a balanced healthy diet, understanding the nutritional content of different food groups, and calories.
- The effect of poor diet, such as excess sugar/salt and fat, possibly leading to tooth decay and obesity.
- Kidz Fit daily health tips, such as adequate sleep, personal/oral hygiene, fruits/vegetables, hydration and limiting electronics usage.
- The harmful effect of smoking and damaged caused to the lungs.
- Well-being and mental health defined and explained, and explore how different emotions can arise and change positively and negatively due to self-care techniques, social media, bullying/cyber bullying, online safety and relationships.
- Where to seek support, both at home and school, if they are concerned of their own or someone else’s physical or mental well-being.
- We leave a sustainable exercise program to be carried out each term throughout the year, and children can continue learning and be creative on the

Activities for this workshop include:
Exercise to music, hula hooping, skipping, jump matts, yoga, catching games, co-ordination challenges.
Halls approximately the size of a badminton court (6m-12m) can accommodate 1-2 classes per session, bigger halls could allow our maximum of 4 classes.
